A drowsy driver is the cause of a vehicle to roll several times over the weekend in Mecosta County.

It happened on Newcosta Avenue north of Baseline Road in Mecosta Township.

The driver, 24-year old Christoper Timmer of Newaygo, told police he fell asleep and went off the road, causing his vehicle to overturn.

Timmer received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital for treatment.
