Three major proposals on the Michigan ballot this election day.

Proposal one would allow individuals 21 and older to purchase, possess and use marijuana for personal consumption.

Proposal two would make a constitutional amendment to establish a commission of citizens with exclusive authority to adopt district boundaries for the Michigan Senate, Michigan House of Representations and U.S. Congress, every 10 years, rather than being drawn by the party in power.

Proposal three authorizes automatic and Election Day voter registration, no-reason absentee voting, and straight ticket voting.

In local elections, to represent the fifth district as a Mecosta County commissioner, incumbent Tom O'Neil will take on challenger Michael Roberts, for the sixth district representative incumbent Mark Solis takes on Wendy Nystrom.

Voters in Morton Township to be asked to approve a new millage that would levy .50 per $1,000 of taxable value for a youth center.

Luke Brown , David Murray and Michele Rasmussen are battling it out for two seats on the Big Rapids Schools Board of Education.
