One in three adults has prediabetes, a significant risk factor for developing type 2 diabetes. Most people with prediabetes do not even know they have it. Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital will host a fourth class beginning April 23.
The program offers people at high risk for type 2 diabetes an opportunity to help prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes through lifestyle changes. Participants will meet from 10 to 11 a.m. every Wednesday for 16 weeks, and monthly for six months following. Additional class times may be established based on participant needs.
