Alice Marie Narloch, 86, of Alma

In loving memory of Alice Marie Narloch, born on November 29, 1937, in Alma, Michigan, to Wexford and Christina Gotham. Alice passed away on March 26, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories.

Alice found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially tending to her flower garden, casting her line while fishing, and creating lasting memories with her grandchildren through camping trips and boating adventures. Her spirit was adventurous, and she treasured the times spent exploring new places. Known affectionately as "Hurricane Alice," she was a force to be reckoned with, embodying resilience, determination, and kindness. Alice was also the First Mate on Don’s Charter Fishing Boat, which she enjoyed every minute of. Alice's caring nature extended beyond her family as she served as a den mother for the Boy Scouts, leaving a positive impact on the lives of many.

Family was at the center of Alice's world, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to their happiness and well-being. Alice is survived by her children Larry (Deb) Narloch, Valerie Narloch, Wendy Narloch (Lonny Gilman), as well as sister Elizabeth Corder. Alice's love and wisdom will continue to guide her family, including her cherished grandchildren Sara, Jenny, Tyler, Michael, Matthew, Zachary, Rebecca, and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don, sons David and Paul and sister Harriet Larosa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Michael Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 3rd, at 11 AM with Father Tom Boufford as celebrant. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church, as well as Tuesday evening at Janowicz Family Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM.
Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the St. Michael School Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the church.
