Harold Alan Davy, 59

Harold Alan Davy, 59, of Rodney, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, with his family by his side after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Harold was born April 9, 1967, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Elmer and Marlene (Viesel) Davy. He was a self-employed handyman and often joked that he was the “king of all trades, but master of none.” His willingness to lend a hand and his ability to fix just about anything made him someone others could always count on.

Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandchildren. He had a big heart and a great sense of humor. He could be a little stubborn at times, but he was always respectful and deeply protective of the people he loved. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment he was able to spend with them.

On June 2, 2017, Harold married Tami McGuire, who survives him. He is also survived by his son, Ridge Davy; daughters, Marissa Wright, Tomissa Davy, and Brooklyn (Marvin) Pluger; his grandchildren, Kameron DuBois, Karter McGuire, Braxton McGuire, Zachary Pluger, and Maverick Pluger; his brother, Elmer “Bud” Davy; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Pam and Tim Van Alstine, Dale McGuire, David “Mark” McGuire, Steve (Samantha) Decator, and Sarah (Mondel) Garza; mother-in-law Shawn McGuire; his best friend, Bob Britt; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved companion dog, Sienna.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Storm Davy; brothers, David and Tony Davy; father-in-law, David McGuire; and mother-in-law, Jackie Jensen.

Harold will be remembered for his humor, his big heart, his stubborn determination, and, most of all, the love and protection he gave to his family. His greatest joy was being surrounded by the people he loved, especially his grandchildren, and the memories he created with them will remain in their hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Mohnke Janowicz Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Harold’s family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. Friday until the time of service. A luncheon to follow at the Martiny Township Hall in Rodney. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
