Clay Travis

Prior to co-hosting “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show,” the Nashville native and former lawyer had a variety of jobs in sports media.

After spending 2009-2011 as a columnist for AOL FanHouse, Travis launched “Outkick the Coverage,” then an SEC-centric news and opinion blog, in July of 2011. Gaining strong traction through social media, OutKick.com became an internet phenomenon, attracting an average of two million unique visitors each month. He also co-hosted the top-rated 3HL on 104.5 The Zone in Nashville for five years.

In 2016, Clay hosted FOX Sports Radio’s industry-leading weekday morning-drive program, “Outkick the Coverage with Clay Travis,” which was broadcast on more than 350 stations nationwide.

In 2019, Travis launched “Wins & Losses with Clay Travis” on the iHeart Podcast Network. The program featured candid, in-depth conversations with the biggest names in sports, entertainment, business and beyond, who discussed their inspiring journeys to success, including their wins and losses along the way.

In 2021, Travis partnered with Buck Sexton to host “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show,” taking over the timeslot held by “The Rush Limbaugh Show” for more than three decades. Airing weekdays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET on more than 550 stations nationwide, Travis and Sexton tackle the biggest stories in news, politics and current events with intelligence and humor.

The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Podcast Network was launched in March 2023 and features a slate of news, politics and culture podcasts. The network is home to “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show podcast,” “The Tudor Dixon Podcast,” “The Karol Markowicz Show,” “The Truth with Lisa Boothe,” “Normally,” and “It’s a Numbers Game with Ryan Girdusky.”

Travis also hosts the top-ranking “Outkick the Show” webcast, which is livestreamed on Facebook, and then turned into an audio-only podcast. Millions of fans consistently watch/listen to “Outkick the Show,” making it one of the most-watched and longest-running daily sports shows on both platforms.

Clay has written four books: “Dixieland Delight,” “On Rocky Top: A Front-Row Seat to the End of an Era,” “Republicans Buy Sneakers Too: How the Left is Ruining Sports with Politics,” and “American Playbook: A Guide to Winning Back the Country from the Democrats.”

A graduate of George Washington University as well as Vanderbilt Law School, Clay is married with three children, and lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
