Icy road conditions around Mecosta County caused several car accidents on Wednesday.
Three people were sent to the hospital following a rollover accident on US-131 Wednesday.
It happened on the southbound side, Sheriff Deputies say the driver of the vehicle lost control on the slippery road, went off the road and rolled over.
The three passengers in the vehicle were taken to a local hospital for treatment for their injuries.
Meanwhile, a 55-year old Big Rapids man was sent to the hospital after losing control of his vehicle and rolling over.
It happened on US-131 near 6 Mile Rd. Police say the driver was traveling northbound when he lost control of his vehicle ran off the road and overturned.
The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
And finally a two car accident one driver was Mecosta woman was taken to the hospital following a two car accident in Martiny Township.
It happened at the intersection of 110th Ave and 14 Mile Rd, deputies say 40-year old Grand Rapids woman was traveling northbound on 110th Ave when she was unable to stop at the signed intersection due to her speed on the icy road.
She struck a 47-year old woman from Mecosta who was heading eastbound on 14 Mile Rd.
The 47-year old female was taken by EMS to Spectrum Health BR Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
